Mercedes-Benz 200 (W110) 1966
Painting
When engine was done the next job was the body... After 25 years in the moist barn, and due to some welding at the front wings and rocker panels, new paint was necessary. I choose to repaint it in the same color as original, which was Graphite Grey (Daimler-Benz paint code DB190).
Outside the restoration shop just painted with new primer, a light grey filler.
The doors was painted separately. The original black paint in the trunk were also repainted.
Back from the paint shop. The assembling of the different parts has started. A restored original towing hook from another fintail was installed.
The front is done and the doors installed. Installation of side windows and the door handles is ongoing.
