Nu har turen kommit till chassiet och alla dess delar. Karossen kommer att lyftas av från chassiet och sedan demonteras alla delarna; bromssystemet, centralsmörjningssystemet, fram- och bakaxel m.m. Ramen och många av de andra delarna ska blästras och sedan grundmålas med epoxygrund, innan de lackeras med tvåkomponentslack och återmonteras.

Next step is the chassis and all its parts. The body will be separated from the chassis and then stripped of all its parts, including the brake system, the central lubrication system and the front and rear axles, etc. The frame and some of the other parts will be blasted and primed with epoxy, before they are coated with a two-component paint and re-installed.

Karossen redo för att lyftas av chassiet. Den separationen gjordes med hjälp av lyftband, och den lilla grävmaskin som skymtar i bakgrunden.

The body is ready for beeing separated from its chassis. The lift was done with use of some lashing straps and the small excavator, as glimpsed in the background.

En milstolpe i renoveringsarbetet har passerats. Karossen har skilts från sitt chassi. En liten vagn med hjul svetsades ihop för att ställa karossen på, så att den kan enkelt kan flyttas runt i verkstaden (ett av vagnens lilla blå hjul syns nere i vänstra hörnet på bilden). Inne i kupén förvaras skärmar och andra karossdetaljer, och på taket ligger motorhuven.

A milestone during the restoration work has passed. The body has been separated from its chassis. The body is resting on a small trailer on wheels, that was welded together prior to the separation (one of the trailer blue wheel appear in the bottom left corner of the picture). Among other things, the front and rear wings are stored inside the passenger compartment, and the engine hood is placed on the roof.

Under karossen dolde sig ett chassi som under åren hade samlats på sig åtskilliga lager av smuts. Bilden visar bakre delen av ramen och bakaxeldifferentialen.

The chassis had accumulated layers of dirt over the years. The picture shows the rear part of the frame and the real axle differential.

Efter en omgång med högtryckstvätten fanns under all smuts ändå ett solitt chassi.

Underneath the dirt, the pressure washer unveiled the solid chassis.

Bakaxeln efter tvätt. De över 40 år gamla däcken håller fortfarande luften, men ska naturligtvis bytas ut mot nya senare. Nu vidtar demonteringsarbetet av alla delar.
